Request for Proposals

United Way of Greater Kansas City has issued the 2011-2013 Request for Proposals (RFP). We invite qualifying organizations to submit a proposal for funding consideration. Volunteers Step-Up to Help During
2010 Day of Caring

2010 DOC More than 3,000 volunteers took part in this year's 16th annual Day of Caring on Saturday, June 5. All the volunteers came with a desire to help and stepped up to clean, paint, landscape and make repairs as part of 165 different projected submitteed by local nonprofit agencies from all across the Greater Kansas City area..

Allocation Volunteers Needed

Each year, United Way suppports more than 300 programs in 130 organizations. Decisions about how to invest fund in programs that solve community problems are made by teams of volunteers who review funding proposals from applicant agencies. After reviewing and rating the proposals, the volunteers make recommendations to the United Way of Greater Kansas City Board of Trustees for final approval.

Currently, United Way is seeking individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences for this year's allocation process. Read more...
